Vanilla flower biscuits

- Note: In order to succeed fully, these biscuits need a very fine corn flour. Delicious with tea and it is preferable to store them in a tin box.

Ingredients

  • 200g corn flour (to be produced with Faribon 600 or Faribon 600 P)
  • 150g butter
  • 100g sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of yeast
  • 15g starch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg

PREPARATION

  • Mill the corn using Faribon 600 or Faribon 600 P to obtain the flour;

  • In a large bowl combine the corn flour, the vanilla extract and the butter. Mix all the ingredients using the hands until they are blended;

  • Add sugar, yeast and the egg, and knead them until you create a ball, wrap it in cling film and then leave it to rest at least one hour in the fridge;

  • Roll the dough into small balls and dip them in the sugar;

  • Flatten every ball to a thickness of about ½ centimeter and then cut them using the flower cutter;

  • Bake the biscuits to a preheated oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes;

  • Leave them to cool on a wire rack.
